Marian University field hockey is partnering with Thomson Hockey, a Dutch-based field hockey company to host a five-day field hockey camp for U-14, U-16, and U-18 players of all skill levels.
The camp will run from August 2-6 at Marian University with six hours of Dutch-style hockey per day. This is the first field hockey camp of its kind in Wisconsin. The training sessions are designed to teach players the Dutch way of thinking in training and playing, games-based situational play, attacking hockey, and technical training. This camp is flexible to be either a commuter camp or an overnight camp.

“One of our goals an inaugural collegiate program is to grow the game in our area,” said Head Field Hockey Coach Holly Heeb. “I believe that the longevity of this growth needs to start with more youth opportunities in our area, and we could not wait to create one right here in Fond du Lac! I’m excited for Grant Thomson and his crew of international coaches to join us this summer for a unique training opportunity and the first-ever field hockey camp hosted at Marian! Whether you’re a new player or an experienced player, this camp is for you. We’ll teach you how to play solid field hockey, how to work-hard, and how to have fun doing the two!”
Take advantage of this “first of its kind” opportunity here in Wisconsin; the opportunity to work with international coaches, internationally-recognized players, and to play on the turf of the newest NCAA collegiate team here in Wisconsin.
