Marian cross country closes out season at NCAA Midwest Regional

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Marian University cross country concluded their season at the NCAA Midwest Regional, hosted by Augustana.
UW-Eau Claire took home the team title and earned a spot at Nationals with a score of 59, while Khia Kurtenbach, from the University of Chicago, won the race with a time of 20:41.3.
Alyssa Zuhlke had one of the best races of her career finishing in 181st with a time of 24:35.5. Zuhlke showed consistency throughout the race clocking in at 12:11 at the 3-kilometer mark. Kayla Gregar also put together a strong race finishing in 227nd place with a time of 26:34.5.
On the men’s side, North Central (Ill.) earned the team title with a score of 34 with Darin Lau of UW-Eau Claire earning the individual title with a time of 23:21.5.
Jacob Leiden once again led the way for the Sabres with a 173rd place finish and a time of 27:06.9. Jarod Silhavy also closed out his season on a high-note finishing with a time of 35:11.9.
