Marian Competes at NACC Cross Country Championship

WEST ALLIS, Wis. – Four Marian University cross country student-athletes competed in the NACC Cross Country Championship on Saturday.

Isaac Kinjerski placed 64th overall with a time of 32:50.20, while Adam Sydow crossed the finish line in 37:12.94, good for 85th place.

Alyssa Zuhlke led the way for the women’s team, running a 28:15.94 and finishing in 52nd place. Sydney Lukes recorded a time of 30:33.86 and finished thirty spots after Zuhlke in 82nd place.

Aurora won both the men’s and women’s championships, and Christian Barajas and Jackie Schane were named Men’s Runner of the Year and Women’s Runner of the Year, respectively; Aurora’s Nicole Farr also won Coach of the Year for her accomplishments with Aurora’s team. Finally, Nick Bath of MSOE and Emma Roberts of Benedictine went home with Freshman of the Year honors.

The Sabres will return to action in two weeks on Saturday, November 12, when they compete in the NCAA Regional meet.
