Marian University baseball and softball have announced their camp offerings before the upcoming spring season.

The Marian baseball program will once again be hosting a weekly hitting and pitching camp as part of their spring training offerings.  The camps will run February 10, 17, and 24 with two hitting sessions, ages 5-10 and 11-18, along with one pitching session.  The first hitting session for ages 5-10 will run from noon to 2 p.m. followed by ages 11-18 from 4-6 p.m.  The pitching camp will be between the two hitting camps from 2:15-3:45 p.m.  Both hitting camps cost $105 while the pitching camp is $80.  All sessions will be in Lenz Fieldhouse where cleats and street shoes are not allowed to be worn.

Each camp will allow campers to have access to the newest technology being utilized by the Marian baseball program through Rapsodo. Rapsodo will give instant feedback regarding some of the newest statistics across baseball including spin rate, launch angle, exit velocity, along with many more.  Campers will be instructed by current Marian baseball student-athletes along with the coaching staff on collegiate drills to improve their technique and fundamentals.

The Marian softball winter camp will also be a weekly camp with sessions being held every Saturday from January 25 to February 15.  There will be five camp offerings during that span for grades 3-7, while grades 8-12 will have a total of eight sessions.  Sessions will include training for hitting, pitching, infield/outfield work, and catching instruction.  Registration must be made by mail with payment, no walk-in registration will be allowed if a camp session is already full.

Campers will receive instruction from the Marian softball coaching staff along with current Marian softball student-athletes.  Each player is required to bring their own glove, tennis shoes, bat, and batting helmets.  All sessions will be in Lenz Fieldhouse where cleats and street shoes are not allowed to be worn.
