Mangone had another big year anchoring the Sabre blue line leading all NCHA defenseman with nine goals on the season and ranking third in the NCHA amongst all defenseman with 20 points. His seven power play goals also led all NCHA defenseman and ranked 16th in the nation amongst all skaters. Mangone’s 0.80 points per game average was also 16th in the country, third in the NCHA. The Sabre blue liner earned one NCHA Defensive Player of the Week award after a five-point weekend against rival Lawrence.

Marian hosts Lake Forest in the quarterfinals of the NCHA Harris Cup tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 22, with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m.
