The Google Cloud Academic All-America program was created in the 1950’s and has become one of the most prestigious honors that takes into account athletic achievement and academic success.  The program requires student-athletes to achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 and play a prominent role on their team.  Liberski earns the award as part of the at-large team which combines several sports including fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming, tennis, volleyball, water polo, and wrestling.  The award is broken down into eight regions with Liberski earning his award in the sixth district which comprises of Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.  Liberski was the lone men’s volleyball student-athlete in the sixth district to earn the award and is the second male student-athlete in as many years to be named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District® team.

Liberski earned his second Defensive Player of the Year award in his career this past season after being named the MCVL Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore.  Liberski led not only the NACC but the entire nation in digs per set during the season finishing with 4.02 digs per set and 346 total digs.  He closed out an incredible career that saw him set an NCAA Division III all-time record for digs with 1,316, and digs per set at 3.53.  Liberski posted 20 double-digit dig performances this season with five of those matches seeing him record 20 or more digs.   A 27-dig performance against then-ranked No. 9 Benedictine proved to be his season-high in a four-set loss for the Sabres.  This past season marked the third time Liberski was named all-conference in his career but the first time he was selected to the first team.

He was able to post a 3.95 grade point average towards his degree in business administration to qualify on the academic side.  Liberski is the first men’s volleyball student-athlete in program history to earn this recognition.
