Liberski earns second MCVL Player of the Week nod

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – After another dominant weekend in the Marian men’s volleyball back row, sophomore libero Cullen Liberski was named the MCVL Defensive Player of the Week.

Liberski (Germantown, Wis.) totaled 34 digs, 4.86 digs per set average, in a pair of matches during another tough weekend of MCVL play.  The sophomore opened the weekend with 18 digs against Mount St. Joseph before recording 16 digs against No. 14 MSOE in only three sets.  Liberski currently ranks second in the nation, first in the MCVL, with a 3.87 digs per set average.

This marks the second time this season Liberski has earned the award after earning the program’s first player of the week honor following the opening weekend of MCVL play.

Marian opens their final road trip of the season Friday, March 31 when the Sabres travel to Benedictine for a 7 p.m. first serve.
