Liberski (Germantown, Wis.) continued to dominate in the back row during March and set an NCAA Division III all-time record for digs in a career. For the month, Liberski had 142 digs over 33 sets for a 4.30 digs per set average. With 18 digs against then-ranked No. 15 Dominican, he recorded his 1,225th dig making him the all-time leader for digs in NCAA Division III. Liberski had three matches during the month where he had more than 20 digs including a 24-dig performance against Aurora in a four-set victory at home. He is also on the verge of setting a new NCAA Division III record for digs per set average over a career as he currently is averaging 3.51 digs per set in his career and the NCAA Division III record is 3.50. Liberski currently leads the nation in digs per set this season with 4.00.
Moris (White Bear Township, Minn.) had a dominant start to the inaugural women’s lacrosse season leading the Sabres in nearly every statistical category. Moris scored 36 goals over 10 games during March adding five assists to lead Marian with 41 total points. She also led the squad with 49 ground balls, 38 caused turnovers, and 54 draw controls. Moris currently ranks fifth in the nation, first in the MWLC, with 3.80 ground balls per game, and is also 25th in the nation, also the MWLC leader, with 4.90 ground balls per game. She posted a pair of double-digit point games during the month including a 10-goal performance in a 19-12 victory over Johnson & Wales.
The men’s volleyball program closes out the regular season hosting No. 14 Dominican at 7 p.m. Friday, April 5. The Sabre women’s lacrosse program hosts a pair of events this weekend taking on Northwestern (Minn.) Saturday, April 6 at 1 p.m. and Loras Sunday, April 7 at 2 p.m.
