HANCOCK, Mich. – Senior pitcher Shannon Huray was dominant in the circle during the opening weekend of the season for Marian University softball and was named to the Finlandia Dome Classic All-Tournament Team.
Huray (Little Chute, Wis.) went 2-1 with a save during the weekend throwing a pair of three-hit shutouts. The senior right-hander went 16.1 innings with a 1.29 earned run average while recording nine punchouts to only two walks. In her four appearances, Huray only allowed runs in one of her relief outings.
Marian is next in action as they open the Gene Cusic Classic from Fort Myers, Fla. against Wilmington (Ohio) and Geneva Monday, March 13.
