Howie named NCHA offensive player of the week

WAUKESHA, Wis. – After a five-point weekend, sophomore forward Jake Howie has been named NCHA Offensive Player of the Week.

Howie becomes the first Sabre to earn offensive player of the week accolades after having a big hand in Marian clinching home-ice in the Aurora series.  The sophomore assisted a pair of goals in the opener before having a hand in three of the five Sabre goals in a 5-0 series finale win, recording a pair of assists while lighting the lamp once.

Marian hosts Lake Forest in the quarterfinals of the NCHA Harris Cup tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 22, with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m.
