FOND DU LAC, Wis. – Thomas Holzman was selected as Marian University’s Veteran of the Month.
Holzman served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1969, and served in the 3 rd brigade of the 82 nd Airborne Division during the Vietnam War.
“My father is a hardworking man and took pride in putting in many hours in a hot factory for more than 30 years,” said Patrick Holzman, son of Thomas Holzman. “He enjoyed traveling all over the country to attend the 82 nd Airborne Division’s national convention, and meet up with his old comrades.”
Holzman was unable to attend the award ceremony, as he is battling pancreatic cancer. His family accepted the award on his behalf.
