FOND DU LAC, Wis. – Eric Hanrahan was selected as Marian University’s March Veteran of the Month.
Hanrahan served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2001-2005, during which time he was deployed to Iraq where he served as a member of the military police. Following his deployment, Hanrahan served in the inactive reserves until 2009, when he was re-called to active duty and joined the bulk fuel unit in Green Bay, Wis.
The Veteran of the Month contest, presented by Marian University and Sunny 97.7/96.1 WTCX, highlights one area veteran each month. Each veteran chosen receives a plaque, an appreciation package from Marian University and Sunny 97.7’s sponsors, including a 3 credit undergraduate class which can be redeemed in summer session 2015, or in any of the adult undergraduate sessions. In addition, recipients are honored with a monthly ceremony at Marian University, and have the opportunity to share their story on the radio.
