Grunwald leads Marian track and field at Warrior Invitational

MILWAUKEE – Marian University track and field competed at their second invite of the spring season traveling to the Warrior Invitational.

In the short-distance races, Alexandra Jaipuri finished in 17th for the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.06 and clocked in at 29.67 for the 200-meter to finish in 21st.  Taylor Keen competed in the longer distances finishing 17th for the 1,500 meters at 6:04.05, and 21st for the 800-meter at 2:57.40.

Zacarrea Harris had a toss of 5.17 meters in the shot put to finish in 23rd.  Emily Grunwald earned Marian three points for the meet when she finished in sixth for the javelin at 22.74 meters.

On the men’s side, Kenneth Equitz nearly earned points in the shot put with a ninth-place finish at 10.24 meters and had an 11th place finish for discus at 30.90 meters.

Marian travels back to Wisconsin Lutheran for the Green and White Invite Saturday, April 24.
