MILWAUKEE – Seniors Tyler Gouin and David Britton of Marian University men’s basketball have been named First-Team All-NACC selections.
Gouin (Hartland, Wis.) had a historic season and was one of the top scorers in the NACC all season long earning the second all-conference award of his career. Gouin set a single-season Marian record averaging 20.4 points per game breaking a record that has stood since the 1986-87 season. This average put him second in the conference while his 530 total points led the NACC and put him 33rd in the nation. He also ranked second in the NACC, 20th in the country, for field goals made with 198 and free throws made with 117. Along with his scoring Gouin was fifth in the NACC with 102 assists and sixth in the conference with a 1.85 assist to turnover ratio. He had 15 games this season where he scored at least 20 points with a season-high 40 coming on th road at Lakeland. That performance would earn him his lone NACC Player of the Week award for the season. Gouin also had nine games this season with at least five assists and became the 21st member of the Marian University men’s basketball 1,000-point club at Edgewood.
Britton (Hartford, Wis.) was once again one of the top three-point threats in the NACC and closes out his Marian career with three All-NACC First Team picks in three seasons. He led the NACC for a second straight season with 71 made three-pointers, 37th in the nation, and also led the conference with a 39.2 shooting percentage from beyond the arc. Britton led the Sabres and ranked fourth in the NACC with 104 assists and his 1.62 assist to turnover ratio was ninth in the conference. He averaged 19.6 points per game on the season, sixth in the NACC, with his 422 total points ranking fifth in the conference. Britton had six games with at least 20 points scoring a season-high 32 points on the road at IIT. Britton finishes his Sabre career the all-time leader for scoring average with 18.2 points per game and second in program history with 206 made three-pointers.

Gouin and Britton become the first teammates to both earn first-team recognition since Scott Jaeger and Eric Muench following the 2000-01 season.
