MILWAUKEE – After leading Marian to a perfect 6-0 homestand, junior Ally Fox of Marian University softball has been named the NACC position player of the week, as voted on by the sports information directors of the conference.
Fox (Greenville, Wis.) was retired just four times over the six games, hitting .789 (15-of-19) with a double and three runs driven in while drawing six walks for an .840 on-base percentage. Fox recorded at least one hit in each contest, including three games with at least three hits. She stole five bases, four of which came in the second game against Alverno, to become the program’s all-time leader. Fox was also perfect in 31 chances defensively at second base with 19 putouts and 12 assists.
