FOND DU LAC, Wis. –
Josh Engle was selected as Marian University’s Veteran of the Month.
Engle, Master Sargent, served in the army for 15 years which included three tours in Iraq, and one in Afghanistan.
“Serving in the army and experiencing three tours made me more mature as a man and a soldier,” said Engle. “Never rule anything out. You never know what you can expect of yourself. Volunteer. Challenge yourself.”
Engel lives in Iron Ridge with his wife, Laura, and his three children.
The Veteran of the Month contest, presented by Marian University and Sunny 97.7/96.1 WTCX, highlights one area veteran each month. Each veteran chosen receives a plaque, an appreciation package from Marian University and Sunny 97.7’s sponsors, including a 3 credit undergraduate class which can be redeemed in the traditional undergraduate program or any of adult undergraduate sessions. In addition, recipients are honored with a monthly ceremony at Marian University, and have the opportunity to share their story on the radio.
Deserving veterans may be nominated by visiting http://www.radioplusinfo.com/2014/10/17/veteranofthemonth/. Marian University will select one veteran at the end of each month.
