MILWAUKEE – Sophomore Monica Dreifuerst of Marian University women’s volleyball has been named the NACC player of the week for the second time this season, as voted on by the sports information directors of the league.
Dreifuerst (Fond du Lac, Wis.) closed out the season with a pair of strong performances as the Sabres split a non-conference home-and-home series with Ripon. She averaged 4.13 kills and 3.00 digs per set over the pair of matches. Dreifuerst narrowly missed a double-double with 17 kills and nine digs as the Sabres fell in five sets in the opening match. In the season finale the following evening, she posted 16 kills and 15 digs for her sixth double-double.

Dreifuerst earned a NACC player of the week award after leading the Sabres to a sweep of MSOE and was named a first-team all-conference selection earlier this week.
