MILWAUKEE – Sophomore Monica Dreifuerst of Marian University women’s volleyball has been named a first-team all-conference selection by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC).
Dreifuerst (Fond du Lac, Wis.) proved herself as one of the best attackers in the conference to earn her first all-conference honor. She ranked third in the conference with 3.76 kills per set after recording 143 kills over 10 matches, and also finished third in the NACC with a 4.0 points per set average. She was one of only three student-athletes in the conference to average at least 4.0 points per set.
Dreifuerst showed her versatility in the back row as well averaging 3.21 digs per set, 12th in the conference. This led her to six double-doubles on the season with a 20-kill performance coming in the season-opener against Edgewood and a 22-dig performance in the first match of the Lakeland doubleheader.
Dreifuerst also earned one NACC player of the week selection this year after leading Marian to a sweep of MSOE where she averaged 5.67 kills per set with 6.0 points per set over the pair of matches.
