WAUKESHA, Wis. – Freshman Shannon Coughlin of Marian University women’s soccer has been named second team All-NACC announced the league office Thursday morning.
Coughlin (Bolingbrook, Ill.) led the Sabres with 10 goals on the season, fifth in the NACC, while also ranking second on the squad with 21 points. The freshman was also the team leader with three game-winning goals; Maranatha Baptist, Benedictine and Edgewood. Coughlin had one multi-goal game at Maranatha Baptist where she also had an assist for a five-point game. She was a consistent scorer for the Sabres especially down the final stretch of the season where she netted a goal in five of the final six games of the year. Coughlin netted the lone goal in the 2-1 NACC Tournament first round loss at Concordia Wisconsin and had a season-high seven shots in that defeat.
