MILWAUKEE – Sophomores Giuliano Corazzina and Drew Cowden have each been named to the All-NACC second team, as announced by the league Tuesday.

Corazzina (Park Ridge, Ill.) earns his first All-NACC selection after leading the Marian offense all season long.  He was able to assert himself as one of the top scorers in the NACC finishing the regular season ranked second in the conference for points with 28 and third for goals with 12.  Corazzina had three multi-goal games on his sophomore campaign and finished the regular season on a four-match scoring streak.  He was able to open the season with a six-point match against Lawrence where he scored twice with two assists in a 6-2 victory.  Later in the season, he helped lead the Sabres to a 3-1 win at Aurora scoring a pair of goals and adding an assist.  Through just 20 games in his career, Corazzina ranks 17th in program history with 36 points coming from 15 goals and six assists.

Cowden (Covington, Wash.) earns his spot on the All-NACC list for a second season after being named All-NACC honorable mention during the spring season.  Cowden had a dominant season especially in the assist category tying a single-season Marian record with 13 helpers on the year.  At the conclusion of the regular season, he not only led the NACC for the category but was tied for the most assists in the entire nation.  Cowden earned an assist in 11 matches this season with three of his assists coming in the season opener against Lawrence.  He also had a pair of goals on the season, one of which was part of a three-point match against Edgewood, to bring his season total to 17 points.  Through just 26 games in his career, Cowden is tied for eighth in Marian history for career assists with 17.
