MILWAUKEE – Senior Ian Chacon of Marian University men’s soccer has been named to the All-NACC second team as announced by the conference.
Chacon (Cicero, Ill.) closed out his Sabre career with another strong season earning All-NACC recognition for the third time in his career. The Sabre keeper went 4-9-2 on the season with all four of his victories being shutouts. In 10 of his starts this season, Chacon went on to allow two or fewer goals. Chacon also boasted a 1.73 goals against average along with ranking atop the NACC with 111 saves and second in the conference with an .810 save percentage. He went on to earn one player of the week selection this season after leading Marian to a pair of shutout victories against MacMurray and Northland.
In his career, Chacon posted the third-lowest goals against average in program history at 1.52 and made the fourth-most saves with 368. His 11 total shutouts for his career is also good for sixth on the Marian all-time list.
