MILWAUKEE – Senior David Britton of Marian University men’s basketball has been named the NACC Player of the Week for the second time this season, as voted on by the sports information directors of the league.

Britton (Hartford, Wis.) averaged 23.3 points per game while shooting over 50 percent both from the field and behind the three-point line while leading Marian to a trio of victories last week. He opened the week with a 25-point, 11-assist double-double in a 90-72 win at Concordia Wisconsin on Jan. 17, then added 14 points and six assists in a 75-59 home win over Lakeland on Jan. 19. Britton capped the week with 31 points on 11-of-16 shooting, including seven 3-pointers, four rebounds, two assists, and a steal in an 86-52 win over Illinois Tech on Jan. 22. Overall, he shot 57.1 percent (24-of-42) from the field and 53.8 percent (14-of-26) from long range.

On the season, he ranks fourth in the NACC averaging 18.5 points per game and is ninth in the nation, first in the conference, with 55 made three-pointers.
