Junior David Britton has been selected as the NACC player of the week, as voted on by the sports information directors of the league.
Britton (Hartford, Wis.) earns the award after a strong weekend to close out his first season as a Sabre that resulted in a sweep of Lakeland. Britton scored 19 in the opener and added 25 in the finale of the series to average 22.0 points. Over the course of the weekend, he shot 53.6 percent (15-of-28) from the field and 47.1 percent (8-of-17) from behind the arc while also contributing six defensive rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
Britton closed out the season averaging 19.4 points per game, fifth in the NACC, and hit a conference-best 40 three-pointers. He made at least four three-pointers in seven of the 11 games this season and scored 25 points or more in four games.
