MILWAUKEE – Junior Jake Arens of Marian University baseball has been named the NACC position player of the week announced the league office Tuesday morning.
Arens (Mauston, Wis.) paced the offense and helped lead Marian to a 4-1 record to open their spring trip. Arens went 9-for-19 (.474) over five games recording at least one hit in every game along with two multi-hit games. He also accounted for 13 Sabre runs scoring six times and driving in seven. His best game came in the finale against UW-Superior where he went 4-for-5 with two doubles, three runs scored, and three runs driven in.

Marian takes on Hamline at 2 p.m. (CDT) and Macalester at approximately 5:30 p.m. (CDT) Wednesday, March 20 at the Tucson Invitational.
