Connecting Trauma-Informed Care to Suicide Prevention
Leah Harris, M.A., of Shifa Consulting, will be the keynote speaker. The presentation will focus on trauma and its impacts. Participants will discuss trauma-informed suicide prevention and identify strategies for applying trauma-informed approaches.
After the training, participants will be able to:
- Define “trauma,” and recognize its impacts.
- Discuss what is meant by “trauma-informed suicide prevention.”
- Identify the six key principles of trauma-informed approaches.
- Identify strategies for applying trauma-informed approaches.
This session promotes information helpful to professional in the healthcare, education and social service areas.
