2019 Academic Symposium

Ridenour 215

The implications and viewpoints on climate change vary widely across age groups, nationalities, and socio-economic classes. While the scientific understanding of the mechanisms that drive climate change continue to increase dramatically year to year, the narrative around climate change has tended to remain the same and very divided. Information of the science underlying our understanding will be discussed as well as why and how viewpoints on climate change have become group identifiers. Furthermore, information on how to create educational activates will be presented to foster a better understanding of the science and allow individuals to better make their own decisions.
