2019 Academic Symposium

Ridenour 104

Most of us cannot function without the simple daily joys of coffee and chocolate, however as we consume these products, do we stop to think about how these products are grown, harvested, and distributed to millions of people a day?  Child slavery and unequal pay to farmers are just two social justice issues that encompass the battle of ethical consumption. This is a personal narrative of social injustices that farmers face from American pleasures and an opportunity to educate the listener on positive changes that one can make in their daily habits to create positive global change.
