Horror Stories: Who & What We Are
2019 Academic Symposium
Stayer 205
A panel of students from ENG/CMG 404 (H) Contemporary Horror: What Are We Afraid Of? will present their analyses of horror films to uncover key questions about the unsettling, frightening, and dread-inducing narratives of contemporary horror film. As cultural artifacts, horror is a rich genre that both reflects our cultural anxieties, and challenges cultural narratives around our notions of community, the Other, and identity.
