9-11 beams of lightAs I walk around campus and see new students on campus I revel in the energy and freshness that they bring. Classes and labs are in session, the library is a buzz (which I grew up when libraries were quiet), and there is a constant hum of varying topics from nursing, to papers, to what’s going on tonight. In my reflection and interaction with students I began to wonder how they know or if they experienced 9-11.

As we get ready for work and classes tomorrow morning, take time from your routine to pause and reflect on where you were at 8:45 a.m. 17 years ago. It is through our reflection of events that we continue on the memory and legacy of everyone who lost their lives, saved lives, and were affected by these events.
