Student GabbyDon’t be thrown off when you hear that Marian University track and field javelin, discus, weight, hammer, and shot-put hurler Gabrielle Ramczyk has already secured an internship with Winnebago County. The junior criminal justice major dreams of being a criminal lawyer and has found Marian’s inclusive atmosphere to be truly beneficial since transferring from St. Norbert College following her first campus visit. “The people walking around were so friendly. … Anytime someone would pass me they would say ‘hi’ and ask how I was doing.” In addition to loving the Marian community she also loves kayaking, hiking, tanning, playing softball, and cutting the grass – few things are better than the smell and feel of a freshly-cut lawn. As she continues to work hard, strive for greater, and have fun, she will remain focused and live by the quote: “Dream as if you were to live forever, live as if you were to die today”.
