4.3.2019 – Faces of Marian: Hilda Hernandez
Hilda Hernandez, a sophomore from Zion, Illinois, is double majoring in special education and elementary/middle education. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym, going to church, spending time with her friends and family, and reading. Her favorite book is “First Kiss” because she was going through similar events at the time in which she read it. She is the oldest of two daughters in her family, and one of their favorite traditions is having a pizza night every other Friday.
Hilda chose Marian because the small classes allow students to form one-on-one connections with the professors. She is actively involved in Art Club and an on-campus bible study group. Her advice to students is, “Don’t leave homework for the last minute. It will pile up very quickly and deadlines will sneak up on you.”
