Student Mindy GlaserMindy Glaser, a sophomore from Two Creeks, Wisconsin, is double majoring in biology and chemistry. With her degree, she plans to attend medical or pharmacy school to become a specialty doctor or a pharmacist. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends, hunting, reading, playing piano, and singing. She has one dog, one indoor cat, and seven farm cats at home. She also loves coffee and even has a collection of coffee ingredients that fills an entire kitchen cabinet. Her favorite ingredients include milk, pumpkin spice, and caramel. Her most interesting coffee recipe used orange zest to make a homemade Starbucks coffee.

Mindy chose Marian because she enjoys many aspects of the science program including the new building, variety of courses, individualized senior research projects, and her science professors and mentors who help her prepare for medical school. On campus, she is a Student Senate representative for the Science and Math Association, the secretary for the Pre-Health Professionals club, a science tutor in the Learning and Writing Center, and a member of the Honors Program. Her advice to students is, “One of the hardest parts of college is time management and prioritizing. While studying is important, it is just as important to get involved on campus. In terms of clubs, I personally recommend starting with just a few and getting really involved in those instead of joining a too many and not having time to invest in fully participating. Make sure to also take time to relax and do the things you love; this will help reduce the stress that comes along with college!”
