“I’m from Chicago, Illinois. I like to listen to music and dance. My favorite music is hip hop and jazz. I like to hang out with friends and go out to eat. I really enjoy going to TJ’s, a restaurant in Oshkosh. I like to explore Fond du Lac, too. Not being from here, I see new things every day. It’s very different here, coming from a big city, but I enjoy the small atmosphere.

I am a member of the business club and the men’s volleyball team. I’ve been on the volleyball team for two years. I also work in the Office of Admission on campus. I’ve been in this job for about a year. I enjoy giving tours and meeting prospective students and their families…I like answering their questions.

I really like the atmosphere here. Everyone is close. Meeting new people is easy. Faculty and coaches are easy to get along with and approachable. I also enjoy working with the athletic training staff. Athletics at Marian are warm and welcoming. The volleyball guys and coach are what drew me to Marian. I also like the small classes and how the school is helpful within the community.

My advice to others is just be an open book. Don’t try to close yourself up. Try to be talkative and don’t be scared. There are always people here to help.”
