Makenna Wolff is a junior double majoring in nursing and psychology.

“I’m from Oshkosh, Wisconsin. I am the oldest child in my family and I have two younger siblings. I have an eight year old cat named Saffie who is adopted from the Oshkosh Human Society. I like to read when my busy schedule allows. I like being outside in the summer when it is warm. I also like to take my eight year old yellow lab Mari for walks. Mari enjoys working out.

I like the new nursing building at Marian (the Center for Health Professions) because all the classes are close together and the labs are in the same building. It makes it easy to learn. I like my advisors because they are very helpful and guide me in the right direction.

I am currently the president of the Theta Phi Alpha Sorority on campus. Through the sorority, I enjoy volunteering in Fond du Lac and showing the values of Marian. This year, we helped the Solutions Center plan an event called Pursapalooza. Together we raised money for women in transitional states. I’m also part of the Marian University Student Nursing Association (MUSNA).

My advice to other students is be open to trying new things and having new relationships. Step out of your comfort zone.”
