student Amanda MoffatAmanda Moffat, a senior from Hatley, Wisconsin, is majoring in forensic science with a minor in chemistry. She is an avid traveler who has been all over the United States and to a few other countries such as Jamaica, Mexico, and Canada. Her favorite destination so far is Cuba, where traveled to with her high school Spanish class. She especially loved experiencing new activities and cultures everyday through destinations such as museums, historical sites, and even a dance school.

Amanda chose Marian for the forensic science program in which she feels the professors know her personally going beyond her name. She felt that the program is a great way to explore her love of both science and law. On-campus, she is the secretary of the Forensic Science Association. Her advice to students is, “Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you are struggling. Going to see teachers and tutors for help is also important, and there’s nothing wrong with not understanding a concept. I think using the tutoring center and seeing teachers after class improved my knowledge and grades as well. Just ask for help and don’t be afraid to; it can help in so many ways.”
