Cody Woyak is a junior, majoring in nursing and minoring in theology.

“I’m from Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. I am a bowler. I’ve even rolled a perfect game! I went to a small high school, with a graduating class of 25. Marian is bigger, but not super big. I like to go hunting in the fall. I also enjoy playing the piano. I’ve done that for about ten years.

I like that Marian is a smaller school and I’m able to connect with my professors and I’m not just a number. People care about me here and how I’m doing.

I am the vice president of the Student Association of Smiles and Happiness. This organization likes to spread cheer on campus and in the community. We Adopt-a-Highway, hope to volunteer at the humane society, and have fundraisers for organizations around Fond du Lac. We meet monthly. I’m also part of the Marian University Student Nursing Association. I work in the Writing Center and tutor biology and microbiology.

My advice to other students, specifically other nursing majors, is remember to enjoy campus life and take a break from studying. This applies to other majors, too. Everyone needs to breathe and be happy.”
