Student Grace HoweGracie Howe is a sophomore nursing major, minoring in psychology.

“I’m from Romeoville, Illinois. I’m the first one from my family to go to college. I have a younger sister I absolutely adore. I also have an English Mastiff name Tinkerbelle. Each year, I plan a trip to St. Jude in Memphis where I take donations I raise and to volunteer. I’ve ran in the Chicago Marathon and the St. Jude’s Miracle Hospital Half Marathon. I’m not much of a runner, but I like doing these two.

I like all the opportunities for students at Marian. I wanted a leadership role and I wasn’t sure how to get one, but there are enough opportunities for everyone here that want to take advantage of them.

I am a student mentor and I LOVE the job! I get to meet lots of new people. I love my boss. I’m also the Vice Crew Captain for the on-campus group Love Your Melon. Also, I’m doing a lot of things with SUAVE and MUSNA.

I like that at Marian there is always someone to turn to. Everyone is friendly and willing to help. Having the mentors program is super helpful.

Everyone has potential to do well in everything they want to do. My advice to new and continuing students is to maintain a positive mindset and do everything you want to.”
