11.8.2017 – Faces of Marian: Linsey Pierre
“I’m from the small town of Algoma, Wisconsin. I have a Guinea pig whose name is Max. Max is a bit larger than a normal Guinea pig. I like to ski in the winter, hang out with my grandma, watch the Golden Girls and SpongeBob, and watch football. My favorite team is to watch the Atlanta Falcons.
I am part of Science and Math Association (SMA), The Outdoor Adventure Club, and I work in First-Year Studies office.
I enjoy the professors here at Marian and how approachable they are. They’re here to help you succeed. The resources on campus are great, too. There are lots of them and on many parts of the campus. Talking with the people around here is a good way to network for my future career.
My advice to someone thinking about going to college is go with your gut feeling and do what makes you happy. Once you are somewhere, Marian or wherever, use the resources that are available because they are free and helpful.”
