11.29.2017 – Faces of Marian: Greg Robinson
“I’m from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I have two older brothers, a younger sister, and three younger brothers. I’m the first in my family to attend college. I like it that I’m close enough to home that I can still communicate with my family. We FaceTime every day. I’m orientated in family and religion. I like to sing for fun.
I like the atmosphere at Marian. It is super welcoming and had the community feel as soon as I came onto campus. The admission team kept in touch with me through the admission process and helped me through all that.
I was asked to be the manager on the men’s volleyball team. It was something new. It gives me an athletic feel and allows me to work with the team. I’m also part of the Diversity Club. I really like this group. It lets everyone know different aspects and issues in the world. I am a supervisor with Marian’s catering services, too. I enjoy this job and everyone is super nice. I get to see a lot of people from campus. People are respectful here.
My advice to people is never give up on your aspirations. Everyone is here to help. There are also resources to help. Utilize them to get further in college.”
