11.28.2018 – Faces of Marian: Peyton Loesch
Peyton Loesch is a sophomore majoring middle/secondary education with a minor in athletic coaching. She is from Bolingbrook, IL, but she loves living in Wisconsin. Peyton enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, and spending time with her family. On-campus, she is involved in the Marian Student Education Association, plays softball, and works as a math tutor and student mentor. Her favorite holiday tradition is pulling the wishbone apart on Thanksgiving, and she usually wins.
Peyton chose Marian because the community is comforting to her, and she develops close relationships here rather easily. She also enjoys small class sizes and opportunities to go on trips. She especially enjoys her field experiences in which she observes and assists classroom teachers throughout the Fond du Lac Public School District. She believes that it is a great way to figure out early in your education if teaching is truly your calling, and she makes in a difference in students’ lives through this experience. Her advice to students is “Get involved. It is the easiest way to make friends and have a great college experience. I love going to events that Marian has whether it’s sporting events or guest speakers.”
