11.13.2017 – Don’t let the flu bug get you down
As the winter season begins to get closer, so does cold and flu season here in Wisconsin! So I thought it would be helpful to give a few tips on how to combat the cold and stay healthy while at college this season!
One of the best ways to avoid getting sick is with frequent hand washing. Make sure to wash your hands with antibacterial soap and warm water before touching your eyes, mouth, or nose. It might also be useful to carry some hand sanitizer with you for when soap and water are not available.
Sleep is also an extremely important factor when staying healthy and maintaining a strong immune system. Getting a good nights rest helps recharge your body and mind to help you stay focused and motivated throughout the day. I know that it can get stressful with school and homework, but try your best to create a healthy balance of work and sleep.
Make sure to follow these tips along, with making healthy nutritional choices, so you and your friends can still enjoy the season and continue to study hard to finish the semester strong!
