Student Arletta AllenArletta Allen is a senior in the Adult Accelerated Studies program at Marian. Her major is organizational communication with an emphasis is public speaking and minor in business. As an active participant is leadership conferences and mentor programs, she is called upon to speak and tell her story. Most recently she was the keynote speaker for the MLK Prayer Breakfast at Marian and introduced the creators of “Infamous Mothers” in October. She is currently a pastor at Bread of Life Cathedral of Hope in Fond du Lac.

In addition to her involvement in the community, she is an advocate and mentor for women with challenges such as teenage pregnancy, self-esteem, abandonment, and heart break.

She was drawn to Marian’s Christian values with the encouragement to have individual representation within the community. Her advice to students is to “remember that you are as great as you believe you are. Through perseverance, you will find your place in the world and become the best version of yourself.”
