Teacher Commissioning Ceremony

For undergraduate students who have earned initial teaching licenses and graduate students who have completed the Teacher Education or the Special Education program.

Commencement Ceremony
6:00 p.m.
Howard Sadoff Gymnasium
All graduates will meet at the Sadoff Auditorium in the Stayer Center for robing no later than 5:15 p.m.
The big event! Each graduate will receive their diploma from President Manion. A professional photographer will capture the moment and another photo will be taken of each graduate with their diploma.

Please note that wristbands will be required for guests to enter the Sadoff Gymnasium. See below for further details. Reception for Graduates and Guests
Sodexo Dining Room and Michels Atrium, Stayer Center
Join your fellow graduates and their guests for dessert and beverages immediately following the commencement ceremony. Marian University backdrops will be available in the dining room and in the atrium for photographs.

Marian University maintains a wristband policy for its commencement ceremonies. Guests will need a wristband to enter the gymnasium. These will be provided in the graduates’ graduation packets. Guests requiring handicapped seating will receive a different color wristband in addition to a ticket for the handicap area. Guests without wristbands are invited to the Dr. Richard and Leslie Ridenour Science Center where a live stream of the ceremony will be shown. The live ceremony can also be viewed online via a link that appears on our Home Page on commencement day.
