This course focuses on integration and application of the knowledge, skills and attitudes gained throughout the curriculum. The intent of this course is to foster deeper knowledge of psychiatric nursing,
allowing students to go beyond basic nursing concepts and require deeper thinking and problem solving. The students will be introduced to critical thinking and clinical reasoning methods and apply those to case
studies. Students will also bring examples from their capstone clinical experiences into this course as scenarios within which they can practice clinical reasoning and develop their clinical judgment skills. The
framework will be the Marian University program outcomes.
