The Education program at Marian University, WI, invites applications for a full-time, tenure track, Assistant Professor in the area of Mathematics/Science Education, beginning August 2021. Responsibilities include teaching courses in elementary and middle/secondary curriculum/methods in mathematics and science. Must have working knowledge of best practices in science and mathematics education, learner-centered teaching, Understanding by Design, cross-disciplinary literacy, online and face-to-face course delivery platforms, and WI Academic Standards essential. Qualified candidates will be team-oriented, committed to academic excellence, and foster equity, diversity and inclusive practices. Must be available to teach both face-to-face and online courses.
Ph.D. in education (or ability to complete dissertation by August 2021) and a minimum of three years of experience teaching mathematics/science in a K-12 setting required. Willingness to support the Mission and Core Values of Marian University.
