We are accepting applications for a position in our Theology program, beginning Fall 2020, at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (depending on experience and professional record). Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in the field of Christian theology. Area of specialization is open. Candidates who serve as a generalist and are experienced and/or prepared to teach a wide variety of theology courses are especially encouraged to apply. A typical semester course load might entail teaching two sections of an introductory Christian theology course, a topics course in Catholic, Historical, Biblical, or Contemporary theology, and an upper level elective course such as: Old Testament, World Religions, Religious Pluralism, or Death and Suffering. Normal teaching load is 12 credits per semester.
Requirements for this position are a Ph.D. in Theology and a willingness to support the Mission and Core Values of Marian University. Women and candidates from underrepresented groups are especially encouraged to apply.
