John W. (JJ) Jenkins, a 2011 graduate who obtained a Bachelor’s degree in History with a minor in biology, is an example of the interdisciplinary opportunities provided by Marian as a quality liberal arts institution. JJ came to Marian after serving as a medic in the US Army and took the biology and chemistry classes needed for entry into Physician Assistant school while studying his passion for History. He was able to share his extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology with both Marian students and outside groups such as Flight For Life by being a lead student and author of course work with Marian’s cadaver dissection program. JJ attended PA school in the Waukesha area and has a Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Currently he works as a licensed Physician Assistant at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin and serves as a PA with the Wisconsin Army National Guard. He lives in Howard, WI, with his wife Becky, their daughter Annabelle, and two dogs Curly and Brewski.
