The purpose of Marian University’s Service Learning Program is to coordinate and support curricular and co-curricular activities that enhance student learning, promote civic engagement and responsibility, and respond to the critical needs of the Fond du Lac Community. The key to service learning is a connection between theory and practice to enhance student learning.
Marian University is a member of the Wisconsin Campus Compact which is a coalition of nearly 1,200 colleges and universities – representing some 6 million students – who are committed to fulfilling the public purpose of higher education. As the only national association dedicated to this mission, Campus Compact is a leader in building civic engagement into campus and academic life.
