The Office of Institutional Effectiveness assures that Marian University effectively serves its mission through the design and management of a systematic and continuous process of data collection, analysis, evaluation, and evidence-based response that informs the strategic planning process and the allocation of institutional resources. Marian University views the institutional assurance of learning and research into our practice as central to our core values, particularly the value for collaborative, lifelong learning that transforms individuals, communities, and the world in which we live.

Assurance for Learning, as a function of Institutional Effectiveness, administers and sustains the collaborative process of student learning outcome assessment. This work develops and improves the system for generating, validating, communicating and acting on evidence of the quality of important student and organizational learning outcomes.
