Marian University invites applications for the full-time position of Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach, reporting to the Director of Athletics. Marian University, a NCAA Division III and Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference member, is searching for a full-time Head Women’s Lacrosse coach to start its Women’s Lacrosse program. The head coach, reporting to the Director of Athletics, is responsible in overseeing all phases of the NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse program within compliance of Marian University and NCAA rules and regulations.

The essential functions of this position are to Develop and maintain a system to identify prospective student-athletes and to work closely with club and high school coaches to recruit quality student-athletes. Develop and implement a program which includes monitored academic progress in addition to performance. Responsible for in-game coaching.  Organizes and coordinates all team travel.  Responsible for scheduling all future contests.  Manages all assistant coaches within the program.  Responsible for managing and monitoring the program budget under the direction of the Director of Athletics.  Conducts program in compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations and Marian University policies.  Assists the Sports Information Director with statistics, press releases, media guide, and other publications.  Assists in department fundraising activities.  Organize camps and clinics to promote the sport of lacrosse and also help create public interest and community involvement with the University.  Maintains a positive work environment by cooperating in a professional manner with the University community.  Coordinate practice and game schedules within the athletic department facilities calendar.

The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s Degree preferred. Strong ability to recruit student athletes in the context of NCAA Division III philosophy.  Strong oral and written communication skills.  Strong organizational skills.  Successful intercollegiate coaching and/or playing experience.  Willingly support the Mission and Core Values of the University.
